SCBWI British Isles- The Society of Children's Book Authors and Illustrators is a great organisation where aspiring children's authors can meet others and learn their trade, and also highly recommended for publishing types who want to meet dedicated, enthusiastic people who will re-spark their enthusiasm.
Pen2Publication- The writing consultancy of children's author Nicola Morgan, who also offers excellent free advice at her blog Help! I Need a Publisher. I occasionally handle picture books and other writing for young children that Nicola refers to me.
